Military Duty Leave for Employees in Rhode Island

Employees in Rhode Island who enter the U.S. military forces are entitled to military leave privileges. Reservists or National Guard members' absences for training does not affect their rights to vacation, sick leave, bonus, advancement, and other advantages of employment.

Reinstatement. Employees in Rhode Island who enter the U.S. military forces are entitled to reinstatement to their former employment or position of seniority, status and pay if qualified to perform the duties of the position, unless the employer's circumstances have so changed as to make it impossible or unreasonable to do so.
